Vaco is partnering with an organization seeking an Accounting Assistant for an opportunity located in Milwaukee. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail and a background in transactional accounting. Requirements
Associate's Degree required Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Key Responsibilities
Recording all deposits using the accounting system accurately and promptly Entering invoices and issuing weekly checks Reconciling vendor statements and submitting state sales tax (if applicable) Maintaining detailed cash logs and reconciling all bank statements monthly Filing receipts and invoices in an organized manner Preparing monthly and year-end reports: financials, bank reconciliations, aged AP, 1099s, etc. Conducting monthly ledger reviews and GL reconciliations Assisting with internal and external audit preparation You'll also collaborate with various departments to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. The salary range for the role is noted in this job posting as required by local law. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
