Assistant Controller
to play a critical leadership role within our corporate finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to work onsite in
Portsmouth, NH , a picturesque New England coastal city just one hour from Boston. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage financial reporting in compliance with SEC requirements, including preparation and review of 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings. Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of all financial reports and disclosures. Partner with internal departments and external auditors to support quarterly and annual audits. Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and new accounting pronouncements. Support the Controller with oversight of general accounting, internal controls, and policy adherence. Develop and implement process improvements and automation to support scalable growth. Mentor and lead a high-performing accounting team. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required). CPA designation (strongly preferred). 5+ years of experience in a similar role, including experience at a publicly traded company. Extensive knowledge of SEC reporting requirements. Proven experience with 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings. Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks (e.g., SOX compliance). Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills. What We Offer
