We are looking for motivated, innovative individuals who think big and move fast with a passion for delivering data-driven insights. This is an advanced level analyst role requiring knowledge in a specific area or broad area of multiple functions. Tasks may range from identifying emerging trends based on consultative insight gained from internal/external sources. Identifies and addresses potential sources in conflict with business and company goals and objectives. Projects are typically longer term and may provide direction for future business actions. May participate in or lead large projects. Provides guidance, mentorship and training to develop lower-level associates, with accountability for team success. Your work
Perform research, modeling, forecasting and coordination of data collection from Claims and other groups. Review and interpret current reporting, identifying trends to improve operational efficiency, product performance. Lead complex analysis to understand the root causes of underlying trends and effectively communicate findings to senior management. Understand and deliver insights by monitoring internal claims loss data and incorporating industry trends. Support accountability and ownership in the claims process by providing an accurate and unbiased picture of claims operations. Leverage industry data and knowledge to evaluate results in relation to industry benchmarks. Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders in Claims, Product, Actuarial, Finance and Technology to identify new trends and initiatives. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts. Required Experience, Education and Skills
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, business, statistics, economics, computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience. 8+ years of directly related experience Superior research, statistical, analytical, processing and mathematical skills with ability to structure and conduct analyses Proficiency in data science and coding (Snowflake, SQL, Microsoft Excel, and may also use other tools such as SAS, PowerBI, Python, etc.) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint, especially Excel and PowerPoint Adaptability and the capability of multi-tasking and strong time management Ability to make effective formal presentations Ability to work in a team environment Solid communication and presentation skills (written, verbal, and listening) Demonstrated analytical agility and curiosity; passion for learning new things with an interest in technology Direct claims experience or analytical actuarial experience (preferred) What would make us excited about you?
Knowledge of insurance and rate-making concepts Pursuit or completion of industry-relevant continuing education, including graduate degrees, professional designations, and actuarial exams (e.g., AINS, AIC, ARM, CPCU; ACAS, FCAS, CERA) 0–2 years leadership and mentoring experience Advanced degree in a related field Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines Excellent analytical and communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts into simple stories History of taking initiative and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance Strong data visualization skills (Power BI is a plus) Insurance product knowledge, price, underwriting and Claims knowledge, with working knowledge of personal lines Claims Operation Actively participates in shaping company culture (e.g., supporting employee resource groups, mentoring, volunteering, cross-functional projects) Champions cultural norms and is willing to collaborate, onboard new team members, and build relationships Demonstrates a company ownership mindset and thinks beyond the boundaries of their own area Willing to travel for role, including divisional/team meetings and other in-person meetings Fulfills business needs, which may include investing extra time and helping other teams CSAA IG Careers
