Hybrid Position This full‑time role is based in our Red Bank, NJ office with 2–3 days in office per week; remote work is possible for highly qualified candidates.
Role Description Mortgage Loan Processor/Underwriter. The ideal candidate will process full documentation loans and, depending on credentials, underwrite FHA Streamlines and other loan scenarios. A DE or LAPP designation is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
Manage loan applications from submission through closing.
Verify borrower documentation and ensure compliance with lending guidelines.
Maintain clear communication between borrowers, loan officers, and underwriters.
When holding underwriting credentials, review loan conditions, issue approvals, and sign off on delegated authority loans.
Manage multiple files under tight deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
3+ years in mortgage loan processing or underwriting.
DE (Direct Endorsement) or LAPP/SAR preferred.
Strong knowledge of FHA, VA, Conventional, and USDA guidelines.
Proven ability to process full doc loans with accuracy and efficiency.
Skills in underwriting & processing FHA Streamlines and similar scenarios.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency with mortgage lending software and technology.
