Coordinate with hospitals, emergency rooms, and mobile assessment teams to facilitate direct admissions and MOT transfers. Handle inquiry calls and assist callers in scheduling face-to-face assessments or triage to appropriate community referrals. Ensure assessments are conducted by qualified mental health professionals for presenting patients. Screen for medical and behavioral emergencies. Perform comprehensive assessments and provide quality therapeutic care for patients seeking treatment for substance abuse, dual diagnosis, or psychiatric/emotional disorders; coordinate with clinical teams and on-call physicians to meet these needs either at the facility or through community providers. Explain treatment plans to patients and families to reduce fear and promote acceptance and continuation of care. Complete administrative processes related to admission and precertification of care with external payers as needed. Qualifications

Current RN licensure Valid driver’s license, favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and proof of insurance if using personal vehicle Proficiency in typing and keyboard use CPR and CPI certification within 30 days of hire Experience in psychiatric healthcare settings working with adult and geriatric patients preferred Strong clinical assessment skills
