Assistant Mechanic - Golf Course

Troon BallenIsles Country Club is seeking an experienced Golf Course Assistant Mechanic to join our Maintenance team. Pay Range:
$20-22/hour Essential Duties:
Overhauls and repairs maintenance vehicles, mowing equipment, and other power equipment. Lubricates and services all equipment. Inspects equipment for operating deficiencies and makes routine adjustments. Maintains understanding of hydraulic systems, repairs, and components. Inspects, changes, and repairs tires. Controls tool access and use by maintenance staff. Cleans working areas after repairs. Assists in fabricating, body repair, and painting. Adjusts cutting units on mowing equipment. Assists on maintenance crew and may operate mowing equipment. Trains maintenance staff on proper equipment care. Operates or trains to operate various maintenance equipment. Incorporates safe work practices. Maintains regular and reliable attendance. Performs other duties as required. Education/Experience:
Certificate from college or technical school; or 3-6 months related experience/training; or equivalent. Physical Demands:
Frequently stands, walks, uses hands, reaches, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. Occasionally sits, climbs, or balances. Regularly talks/hears. Lifts up to 10 pounds; occasionally up to 100 pounds. Environment/Noise:
Works in wet/humid conditions, with toxic materials, in extreme cold/heat, and near moving mechanical parts. Noise level is loud. Certificates/Licenses:
Valid Driver’s License, Mechanics Certificate from Gas and Diesel Engine Training Seminar. Skills & Abilities:
Ability to read and speak English is preferred for communication and understanding manuals. Additional Details:
