Philanthropy team , you’ll be the architect behind our annual giving strategies and stewardship efforts—ensuring every donor feels appreciated, informed, and inspired to keep supporting our mission. Responsibilities
Annual Fund Leadership:
Develop and implement strategies to grow donor participation and revenue.
Direct mail appeals:
Plan, write, and execute targeted direct mail appeals for key donor segments.
Materials production:
Manage all production of appeal materials, correspondence, and support pieces.
Data-driven optimization:
Use data tracking and analysis to strengthen campaign results.
Donor segmentation:
Create tailored approaches for donor segments such as new, lapsed, and monthly donors.
Fundraising events:
Support fundraising initiatives, including the annual gala, to engage donors and volunteers.
Major gifts:
Assist in identifying prospects for major gifts.
Donor Relations & Stewardship
Stewardship planning:
Build a year-round stewardship plan with personalized touch points, including thank-you calls, milestone recognitions, spotlights, and holiday messages.
Priority donor stewardship:
Track and execute customized stewardship for high-priority donors and prospects.
Communications:
Oversee development and distribution of donor communications, including the Giving@May newsletter.
Development Operations
Data integrity and gift processing:
Partner with the Database Manager to ensure accurate gift processing, acknowledgments, and donor recordkeeping.
Database hygiene:
Maintain clean and up-to-date donor and prospect mailing lists.
Preferences & standards:
Adhere to donor communication preferences and data integrity standards.
Raiser’s Edge:
Participate in cross-training on Raiser’s Edge to ensure operational redundancy.
Research & analytics:
Conduct donor and prospect research, along with data analytics to guide fundraising strategy.
Qualifications
Fundraising Experience:
3+ years of experience supporting development programs, preferably with annual giving and stewardship.
Mission-Driven:
Committed to supporting individuals of all ages with autism and brain injuries.
Communication:
Strong ability to engage donors with compelling stories and persuasive messaging.
Data-savvy:
Familiar with donor CRMs (Raiser’s Edge preferred) and segmentation strategies.
Organization:
Able to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
Collaboration:
Collaborative and flexible; thrives in a team environment and values diversity and mutual respect.
Technical skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel capabilities.
Discretion:
Handles sensitive donor information with discretion and in compliance with privacy standards.
