Actual salary offers consider factors including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. 2-3 years or equivalent experience in food preparation and general maintenance in a kitchen or dining area (preferred). Ability to read, understand, and speak English sufficient to determine and carry out job duties. Interact effectively with guests, team members, and managers in a high-volume public contact setting using positive body language, direct eye contact, active listening, and problem-solving techniques. Perform arithmetic for production and customer flow parameters (adding/subtracting whole numbers, decimals, and fractions). Measure dry and liquid food ingredients in appropriate units of measurement. Operate equipment such as mixers, food processors, slicers, blenders, ovens, ranges, grills, hot wells, fryers, rotisseries, woks, steamers, and kettles. Knowledge of sanitation and safety rules and procedures for production, storage, and service in a food establishment. Time management and organization to review daily production needs and plan daily work schedule. Culinary knowledge of inventory, recipes, menus, and production methods, including culinary terminology. Provide team leadership to one or more Senior Food Service Workers and Food Service Workers. Lead small teams (2-5 people) in a collaborative manner, motivating the team to complete tasks effectively and efficiently. Accurately complete and maintain paperwork, including temperature logs and production records. Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations
