The Accounting Specialist II provides intermediate accounting support, including more complex AP/AR functions, account reconciliations, and financial reporting tasks. This role assists with audits, identifies process improvements, and may mentor junior accounting staff. Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and distribute customer invoices accurately and on time Post payments to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts Communicate with clients to resolve billing issues or disputes professionally Process adjustments, credit memos, and refunds as required Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records in the accounting system Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation Partner with branch and department leaders to resolve financial questions and support reporting needs Other duties as assigned Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree or coursework in Accounting preferred 2+ years of progressive accounting experience Solid knowledge of accounting principles, AP/AR processes, and reconciliations Experience with accounting or ERP software and strong Excel skills Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record Travel Requirements
This position does not require regular travel as part of its primary responsibilities. However, occasional travel may be required, up to 10%, primarily for off-site meetings, training sessions, or company events. Travel, when necessary, will be communicated in advance and aligned with business needs. EEO Statement
