Assistant Controller

Support all, and lead several, of the finance department’s activities spanning general and cost accounting, reporting, analysis, internal controls for a full profit center operation. Assist with managing allocated areas of the General Ledger, including all inventory accounts. Analyze monthly spending and perform month-end and year-end close activities for the plant. Assist in the preparation of the annual plant Budget and Quarterly Forecasts, including responsibility for detailed Sales and cost of sales budgets, Gross Margin by Part and Contribution Analysis, and other reports. Develop annual material, labor and burden standards. Ensure accuracy of plant production reporting and perform analysis of manufacturing costs and variances. Develop systematic processes and tools to standardize departmental work. Support internal and external audits and provide review and approval oversight as specified by the authorization matrix. Operate in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and work across functions in manufacturing operations, representing the finance function with credibility. Participate in the annual physical inventory count process and other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required. Minimum 5 years of accounting experience; automotive manufacturing a plus. CPA or CMA designation preferred. Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for calculations and analysis; experience with SAP strongly preferred. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to meeting business objectives. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
