Cash Management Analyst - Single Billing Office

The responsibilities of this position require basic mathematical and organizational skills. Applies reasonable theories to analyze financial information. Compiles financial information to prepare journal entries to general ledger accounts using principles of accounting to ensure accuracy of financials to Oracle.
Ensure all payments posted balance to several different Patient Accounting systems, balance to several different bank accounts, and balance to several different general ledger accounts. Ensure deposits received from non-Business Service departments balance to that department’s cash clearing general ledger account and back-up for deposit is sent to that department.
Daily and monthly financial reporting of cash in a timely manner for Business Services and Accounting Department. Research and resolve any balancing variances between Bank deposits, posting systems, and Oracle. Facilitate entry of manual deposits for miscellaneous bank activities; Bank Adjustments, Returned Checks, Credit Card Chargebacks.
Analyze daily payment files to identify when new payers are present; adjust system logic for new payers. Run reports to identify payments that did not correlate as expected. Resubmit payments for correlation as necessary if payer 835s can be obtained. Monitor inbound payer 835 activities to identify potential delivery issues.
Review payer analysis for EFT/ERA enrollments; complete enrollments with payer and clearinghouse. Work closely with Accounting Department and other areas within Business Services. Other duties as assigned. Work Schedule: 80 hours bi-weekly
Qualifications / Training
Computer skills with Excel, Outlook, Word required General understanding of payer 835 transactions / cash application process preferred Cash Management Analyst Experience in healthcare finance preferred Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education
