Columbus House, Inc. is seeking a PSH/RRH Manager for Middlesex Supportive Housing. The role is full-time, FLSA exempt, and non-essential. Company Overview & Mission Columbus House opened its doors in 1982 to provide services for men and women at least 18 years of age. Our goals quickly broadened from the mere provision of food and shelter and simple survival, to understanding and working toward overcoming the problems which cause people to become homeless. Columbus House, along with its core of loyal supporters, friends, and volunteers, has remained committed to fulfilling its mission: "To serve people experiencing homelessness or at imminent risk by providing life-saving outreach, shelter and housing and by fostering their personal growth and independence. We advocate for and create affordable housing to end homelessness in our communities." Purpose With guidance from the Director of Housing Services, the Program Manager of Middlesex Services will provide supervision and program management, training and professional development to those occupations working in agency shelter, supportive housing and rapid re-housing programs located in the Middlesex and Hartford region. Duties And Responsibilities
Hire, train, and supervise all relevant Middlesex programs staff and to provide all necessary oversight ensuring consistency and continuity of services rendered Attend CAN Housing and Case Collaboration meetings as needed Attend regularly scheduled supervision, team, staff or CHI meetings as requested Complete all required reports Oversee intake, departures, foster tenant meetings and group activities Coordinate and collaborate with other agencies and Columbus House management Assist Director of Programs in monitoring program budgets and attend budget meetings as required Other related duties as assigned Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human services with a minimum of four years’ experience working in a social service, mental health or substance abuse agency Complete knowledge base of all aspects of the delivery of case management services for the homeless and at-risk populations Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered-Planning, Harm Reduction, Trauma Informed and Gender Specific Care and Housing First philosophies and models Knowledgeable of the area network providers and DCF policies Skilled in mental health, substance abuse and dual diagnosis issues as well as local housing options and entitlement programs Computer literate; crisis intervention skills, confidentiality, boundaries, universal precautions Ability to work with diverse populations Ability to work with improvement teams and foster teamwork Ability to work independently or in groups Trauma and Gender informed Person centered philosophy Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate, and supervise Valid Driver’s license with a good driving record and daily access to an automobile Supervised by : Director of Housing Services Schedule : Tuesday-Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm Salary range:
$56,000 to $58,656 Benefits
