Tax Specialist in GAC Savannah
Unique Skills:
Certified Public Accountant a plus
Master’s in Tax or Accounting a plus
Must be proficient in data analytics software including Power BI, Power Query, or Alteryx
In-depth analysis of tax law, knowledge of federal, state, local, and international compliance requirements, and accounting for income tax
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Certified in area of expertise. Master's in Tax a plus. Proficient in tax and accounting database software. 6 years of related experience required. Position Purpose:
Applies principles of tax law and is considered a subject matter expert in the field. Must be strategically focused and process improvement minded. Job Description: Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Analyze and maintain records Consult with other tax professionals and members of the Gulfstream organization Compile facts, analyze applicable tax law, and prepare memos of tax findings Participate and assist in the identification of tax strategies Support and lead efforts of the GD organization as necessary Be recognized as an expert in the area of focus Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills Perform other duties as assigned A credit history check from a national credit bureau will be conducted for all candidates, including new hires and current employees seeking promotion or transfer.
