Responsibilities
Oversee the operations of the accounting department, design structure, and achieve goals.
Coordinate budget preparation, financial forecasts, and variance reporting.
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
Manage compliance with local, state, federal reporting requirements and tax filings.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies.
Conduct year‑end close ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Lead ledger entries, reconciliations, account analyses, and intercompany transactions.
Work with operational teams to ensure accuracy of all financial reporting.
Collaborate with external auditors for audit results and compliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
Minimum 5 years experience in similar role, preferably within the automotive industry.
Proven multi‑franchise automotive experience.
Deep understanding of accounting processes, year‑end close, reconciliations, GL.
Proficiency with accounting software and system implementation experience.
Exceptional knowledge of finance, budgeting, cost accounting, GAAP.
Strong leadership skills with dedication to results.
Excellent analytical abilities managing large data sets.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Superior verbal and written communication skills.
