Job Description
The Federal Financial Specialist will serve as a member of a large project team supporting the client's financial improvement and audit readiness goals through a variety of work streams. The team member must possess a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and best practices. They will provide guidance on finance business processes, and all controls, and financial management systems, in support of the client's efforts to produce auditable financial statements.
Qualifications
1. Minimum 5 years of experience in one or more of the following capabilities: federal accounting and/or auditing, federal financial statement audits, audit/internal controls testing 2. Minimum 2 years of financial improvement and audit readiness experience. 3. Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field. 4. Eligible to receive a secret clearance.
Preferred Requirements : Big 4 experience with accounting or auditing on federal engagements Proven ability to work independently and as a team member Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian Certified Public Accountant (CPA) strongly preferred
