This role is responsible for preparing and filing various tax returns and corporate reports, including sales and use tax, personal property tax, and commercial rent tax. The position also oversees unclaimed property reporting and escheatment processes. Additional responsibilities include supporting special projects and ensuring all deadlines are met.
Responsibilities
Prepare sales and use tax returns for all U.S. states Prepare Canadian GST/HST/PST/QST returns Prepare commercial rent tax filings File annual reports and miscellaneous business tax returns Assist with maintenance and updates to tax software systems Support tax compliance testing and reporting Ensure compliance with state tax laws related to sales, personal property, and unclaimed property Assist with system enhancements and law change implementations Collaborate with external auditors during tax audits Manage unclaimed property reporting and escheatment for shared service clients Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; MBA or CPA preferred 3–4 years of experience in accounting with multi-state tax filing Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate across departments Experience with SAP and/or Hyperion is a plus Benefits
