Your Key Responsibilities Independently recognize and address issues, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tax returns, research, accounting, and projects. Handle tax projects including implementing new tax laws and analyzing tax methods and processes for compliance. Identify and propose solutions for moderately complex tax-related issues through research and documentation. Lead the preparation and review of tax and regulatory compliance with limited supervision. Perform research and analysis on tax and accounting issues. Guide and mentor team members, modeling best practices. Stay updated on new tax and accounting developments and EY technologies. Responsibilities include: Prepare or review complex financial closings and tax compliance filings. Evaluate data, computations, and documentation using tax and accounting technologies. Ensure service quality and understand opportunity risks within scope of services. Develop and document processes, gaining cross-functional alignment. Demonstrate deep technical expertise and broaden capabilities. Provide technical assistance and internal support. Offer oversight, feedback, and coaching to junior team members. Skills and Attributes for Success Comprehensive knowledge of accounting and finance principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with financial and tax software (e.g., Gosystems, Onesource TP, Corp Tax). Strong attention to detail and communication skills. Analytical and conceptual thinking abilities. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Tax, Law, or Economics. 4–6 years of relevant experience. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Strong problem-solving skills and independent work capability. Supervision skills and leadership potential. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Experience with tax accounting systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Preferred: CPA, EA, or licensed attorney (desirable but not required).
