Senior Accountant – Established Company!
Location: Orlando, FL (Hybrid)
Salary: $80,000 to $90,000 per year

This Senior Accountant position is reporting to the Accounting Manager

The Role You Will Contribute
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Perform monthly journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations
Conduct prospect research and drafts grant proposals in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external consultants to support funding efforts across the organization
Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and grant-specific regulations
Ensures financial transactions align with grant agreements and meet required deliverables and deadlines
Reviews and validates financial data, assumptions, and methodologies using a strong understanding of accounting principles, healthcare finance, and internal systems
Support the preparation and audit of the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA)
Assists with external audits, site visits, and compliance reviews
Reviews grant budgets and reimbursement requests for accuracy and eligibility
Manages subrecipient and contractor agreements, ensuring compliance with terms and proper documentation
Designs and delivers training on grants fiscal management and regulatory requirements
Performs internal compliance reviews of grant-funded programs
Provides additional support as needed to ensure efficient grant operations
The Expertise And Experiences You’ll Need To Succeed
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (required)
2+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
Experience with large, multi-entity organizations is a plus
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
