EY’s Government & Public Sector-Financial Accounting Advisory Services (GPS-FAAS) team is growing exponentially, and as a Senior Manager you’ll play a key role across Federal GPS service lines. You’ll develop your career by communicating creative, strategic goals internally and externally, listening to and understanding our clients to provide an exceptional experience in a field with no off-the-shelf solutions. Our Government & Public Sector helps clients achieve mission outcomes across national security, public safety, healthcare for military, veterans and citizens, essential public services, and support for those in need. Responsibilities

Collaborate with colleagues across multiple service lines to build relationships and identify opportunities for clients to benefit from EY’s breadth of services. Think on your feet to challenge existing practices and develop answers to complex issues; lead and direct field work and inform supervisors of audit engagement status. Directly manage and mentor assurance staff; provide performance feedback, training and performance reviews. Demonstrate understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations. Foster an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environment; use technology to learn, share knowledge, and enhance service delivery. Travel to meet with key clients, some of whom are highly respected in their fields.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business; 7 years of progressive post-baccalaureate work experience with Federal US GAAP. U.S. CPA license in your work state. Excellent project management, communication, and negotiation skills; collaborative management style. Proven track record of excellence in managing, mentoring, and improving high-performing teams. Strong teamwork orientation and integrity in a professional environment. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Work may be completed at client, EY, and/or contractor sites; travel may be required beyond the commutable distance. Expected travel: 25% to 30% or more in a hybrid environment. Ideally – CGFM and/or CDFM.

Comprehensive compensation and benefits package with total rewards; base salary ranges vary by location (e.g., $145,200 to $331,800; higher ranges in NYC Metro, Washington State and California). Salaries are determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. Hybrid model: most client-facing roles are expected to work in person 40–60% of the time over an engagement, project, or year. Flexible vacation policy and designated EY holidays, with options for personal and family care leaves as needed.
