We are seeking a
Project Accountant
to join our client’s growing finance team. This role will manage capital and reimbursable project accounting, ensure compliance with company policies, and support financial close processes. The ideal candidate is a
curious, detail-oriented self-starter
with hands‑on experience in
general accounting, ERP systems, and financial reconciliations .
As a Project Accountant, you’ll collaborate closely with project managers, external partners, and internal stakeholders to deliver accurate financial reporting, manage billing activities, and maintain compliance with established accounting procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Administer capital and reimbursable projects to ensure compliance with company accounting policies.
Prepare and review reimbursable invoices for accuracy and adherence to contract terms; collaborate with project managers and third parties to ensure timely collections.
Support system and application modifications impacting property and project accounting through testing and issue resolution.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, meeting tight deadlines (4-day close).
Prepare and document detailed fixed asset transactions including unitizations, retirements, allocations, and journal entries for management review.
Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy within established timelines.
Support ad-hoc financial analysis, special reporting, and project-related accounting tasks as needed.
Required Skills & Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2–3 years of professional accounting experience with exposure to
general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations .
Hands‑on experience with
ERP systems
(Oracle, SAP, or similar).
Proven ability to interpret contracts for billing and cost allocations.
Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills
with the ability to partner effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
