Summary Seeking a Temporary Leasing Agent responsible for assisting the property manager in maintaining all aspects of property operations, with a focus on leasing, marketing, resident relations, and community functions. The Leasing Agent aims for 100% occupancy through resident retention, leasing current availability, and pre-leasing future units. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Interview prospective tenants and record their needs and qualifications. Complete lease agreements and collect rental deposits. Handle bookkeeping functions, crediting renter accounts for receipts and debiting for expenses such as maintenance costs. Request issuance of checks for monies due to residents. Prepare reports on vacancy, occupancy, traffic, and turnovers for internal use and compliance. Coordinate move-ins, inspections, and address tenant issues. Inspect premises periodically and arrange for necessary maintenance. Assist with tenant evictions in compliance with court orders and supervisor instructions. Respond to emergency calls and situations as required. Communicate and interact with residents individually or in groups. Compile listings of available rental properties. Qualifications Experience with LIHTC, Tax Credit, HUD, or Section 8 regulations/forms. Excellent customer service skills. Knowledge of Yardi or similar property management software preferred.
