Job Description
The Outdoors BU Finance team is a business partner to the BU President and his team. While reporting to the Director, B2B Finance, the Associate Financial Analyst plays a critical role in our financial reporting & planning processes, providing in-depth analysis to the FP&A team and supports the Sales VPs in partnership with the Finance team. This role helps to identify opportunities for profit improvement and to drive above market revenue growth. This individual will be a business partner for the wholesale channel. This is an excellent opportunity to partner with executive leaders and cross‑functional teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, analyze, and report on the annual operating plan as well as monthly forecasts for retail and ecommerce
Analysis of sales, allowances, and SG&A at month‑end to provide accurate, relevant and timely input for sales and finance decision making.
Analysis of proposed new sales pricing and promotions, including incremental and fully allocated analysis of key new promotions; review of price changes and impact on future results.
Maintain and enhance visual dashboards used to manage the business
Provide the sales and category management teams with ad hoc requests as needed.
Assist in production of monthly reports and participate in various department projects and assignments where appropriate.
Assist with Rebate processing and sales tracking
Assist with BI automation efforts
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
0-2 years Finance / Analytical aptitude required.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Moderate proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, and Word
Must communicate and present, both verbally and in writing, extremely proficiently to a broad range of staff. Teaching, motivating and persuading individuals throughout the organization is a critical competency for this position
Must demonstrate strong analytical skills and understand financial concepts. Must understand accounting and know how to research actual versus expected results
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience supporting sales teams and financial planning
Previous experience with Oracle (EBS, EPM, BI) and Tableau
Additional Information Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $40,000 USD - $66,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role‑based sales incentive plan.
