iA American Warranty Group . iA American Warranty is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Operational Risk Analyst to join our Risk Department. This role is responsible for identifying, assessing, and monitoring operational risks across the organization, with a focus on strengthening internal controls and supporting enterprise risk management initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring deep analytical capabilities, insurance industry expertise, and a proactive approach to risk mitigation. Location:

Dallas, TX; Austin, TX.

Working Conditions:

What You’ll Do

Lead operational risk assessments across business units, identifying key risk exposures and control gaps.

Develop and maintain fraud analytics and testing processes surrounding financial and operational risks.

Develop and maintain risk and control self-assessments (RCSAs), risk registers, and incident tracking systems.

Complete quarterly and annual testing related to investment guideline compliance, administrator financial statement review and compliance audits, 3rd party SOC review and reporting, BIA/BCP policies and risk assessments.

Analyze and track operational loss events and near misses to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.

Collaborate with internal audit, compliance, IT security, and business leaders to ensure alignment on risk mitigation strategies.

Monitor and report on key risk indicators (KRIs) and emerging risks to senior management and risk committees.

Support the development and implementation of operational risk policies, frameworks, and governance structures.

Participate in scenario analysis and stress testing exercises to evaluate operational resilience.

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts within the team.

What You Have

Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFE, CIA, CRM, FRM, CERA) preferred.

5+ years of experience in operational risk management, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.

Strong understanding of insurance operations, regulatory requirements, and risk management frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to influence stakeholders and drive risk-aware decision-making.

Strong computer/MS Office skills; ability to learn other software systems quickly.

Experience with business continuity planning, third-party risk management and fraud analytics.

Familiarity with regulatory bodies such as NAIC, FINRA, or state insurance departments.

Knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
