We are seeking experienced Delphi / Pascal Developers to support and maintain a legacy businesscritical application over the next four years. The ideal candidates will have strong expertise in Delphi (Object Pascal), legacy system maintenance, and the ability to troubleshoot, enhance, and modernize existing codebases when needed. Youll be part of a small, dedicated team ensuring the stability, performance, and ongoing functionality of a mature software product that continues to be mission-critical for our clients operations. KeyResponsibilities:
Maintain, debug, and enhance existing Delphi/Pascal codebase. Analyze and fix defects, performance bottlenecks, and technical issues. Develop new features and enhancements aligned with business needs. Refactor and optimize legacy code for maintainability and efficiency. Collaborate with QA, system administrators, and business stakeholders. Document changes, technical processes, and system architecture. Participate in code reviews and provide input for process improvements.
Qualifications:
4-10 years of experience in Delphi (Object Pascal) development. Strong understanding of Pascal language fundamentals and Delphi IDE. Experience with legacy systems, maintenance and support. Familiarity with database integration (e.g., SQL Server, InterBase, Firebird, or Oracle).
Solid debugging and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Nice to have Skills:
Experience with migration or modernization of Delphi applications. Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN, etc.). Knowledge of Windows API, COM, or REST/HTTP integration. Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies. Background in software maintenance for manufacturing, logistics, or finance systems (if relevant).
