Overview
Role: Scrum Master Work Dallas, TX JOB DESCRIPTION: The Scrum Master coordinates the work of an Agile development team and oversees the software development lifecycle process and procedures. This role involves planning and facilitating scrum activities such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, board reviews, and retrospectives. The Scrum Master collaborates with clients or end users to understand business requirements and acts as a liaison between development teams and product management to ensure appropriate project processes are followed. Additionally, they identify and resolve impediments that may slow development or prevent the team from meeting established goals or milestones. Help ensure all team members have taken the appropriate step on stories so their team is a well-oiled machine. Remove impediments, encourage the team to work only on task, and encourage Dev Manager to plan. Conduct Retrospectives, and schedule Backlog Grooming. Responsibilities
Plan and facilitate scrum activities, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, board reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure the breakdown of work; break stories into substories, tasks, spikes, etc. Help build the schedule for deliverables; coordinate development timelines and understand capacity; recognize that the PMO would be ultimately responsible for the schedule. Perform resource mapping/loading and assess current capacity; determine what the team needs to do and who should do it. Identify if the schedule requires more resources and balance resources accordingly. Collaborate with clients or end users to understand business requirements. Act as a liaison between development teams and product management to ensure appropriate project processes are followed. Identify and resolve impediments that may slow development or prevent the team from meeting established goals or milestones. Work with team members on backlog and processes; understand and remove impediments to the scrum process. Escalate risk issues outside of the development group to other management levels and drive actions to address them. Remove impediments, encourage the team to focus on tasks, and encourage the Development Manager to plan. Qualifications
3 Years of related experience in an engineering field. Scrum Master Certification (CSM) preferred. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework. Proficiency in scrum tools (e.g. JIRA). Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Basic project management knowledge and experience.
