Job Description
As a Paraprofessional with The Menta Group, you will work with classroom instructors and staff to provide targeted teaching and support to students, as well as general support for all students in the school.
Responsibilities
Manage classroom behaviors Report behavioral concerns to appropriate staff Implement and maintain behavioral program policies and data Maintain classroom order and safety Supervise students inside the school setting Assist in preventing and managing incidents of non-compliance or escalation Monitor for potential safety or disruption issues, report and correct these conditions, and respond to emergencies Provide behavioral interventions to students Think quickly, independently, and tactfully Qualifications
Security or Juvenile Justice background is helpful Military Veterans are encouraged to apply Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Social Services, Kinesiology, Health, or related fields is encouraged but not required Ability to operate tactfully under stress Flexibility to adapt routines Minimum age of 23 years Ability to work with high-risk, special needs students Good driving record; willingness and ability to drive student van is preferred Compensation & Benefits
