South County Outpatient Endoscopy Services (SCOPES) is looking to add a Full Time GI Scope Tech who is a team player to our Outpatient GI Center. Welcome to SCOPES! As a GI Tech at SCOPES, you will have the opportunity to work alongside highly-trained physicians who specialize in diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions. You will play a crucial role in delivering top-notch care by providing consultations and services in a clear and understandable manner, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible treatment. We take pride in our friendly and supportive work environment, where continuity and trust are nurtured through stable and long-lasting relationships with our patients. While we work collaboratively as a group, each patient is assigned a dedicated gastroenterologist, ensuring personalized care and attention. Responsibilities

Render professional care to patients undergoing GI and PAIN management procedures within the surgical center in accordance with established procedures. Function cooperatively with physicians and staff, exhibiting teamwork characteristics. Prepare equipment and anticipate physician and patient needs for GI procedures. Provide general maintenance of the clinical area and equipment. Oversee the GI procedures and maintain all aspects of the GI procedure area. Assess patients prior to procedure and document intra-procedure notes. Assist physician on all GI procedures. Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies in the GI procedure area; clean and maintain equipment per center policy. Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent Medical assistant certification Certification in Operating Room Technology a plus One to three years previous experience in GI Lab or Pain Management required Current BLS required ACLS preferred Knowledge of policies and procedures specific to the OR and GI Strong customer service skills Manual dexterity to handle instruments quickly Conscientious, organized, and able to handle the stress of a busy operating room & GI lab environment Ability to function as a team player Possess the ability to lift 25 pounds Must be able to communicate and understand the English language, both written and verbal What We Offer
