Key Functions
The primary purpose of the Senior Electronic Technician position is to install, repair, program and maintain the card access, closed circuit television, and other electronic security systems. Provides training and guidance to electronic technicians. Completes work orders related to the maintenance of electronic security systems. Installs access control, CCTV and other security related devices. Assists in overall system preventive maintenance and documentation. Assists UTPD project managers with on-going security related projects.
Education and Experience
Education Required:
High school diploma or equivalent supplemented by approved courses in electronics.
Experience Required:
Three years of journey level experience in the installation, maintenance, repair and operation of modern electronic equipment.
Experience Required:
Electronic/electrical and mechanical experience.
Security and Compliance This position may be responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, as defined in Section 113.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code and therefore may require routine reviews and screening. The ability to satisfy and maintain all requirements necessary to ensure the continued security and integrity of such infrastructure is a condition of hire and continued employment.
