Systems Engineer

MVP Consulting Plus, Inc. (Albany, NY) seeks a Systems Engineer to review the current state and configuration of software infrastructure and VDI initiatives. Responsibilities: Review business requirements and design high-level and detailed solutions. Lead implementation initiatives and configure, manage, and maintain a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure environment. Provide detailed documentation at all levels of the project. Engage in multi-site infrastructure deployments to achieve project milestones under the guidance of program leadership. Responsible for operational troubleshooting and support of Virtual Desktop, Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp, VMWare View, and ESXi Hosts. Deliver VMware View application patches and updates to the View platform management systems. Install, move, add, change, and delete VMware View platform management servers and applications. Interact with internal customers to resolve issues, respond to requests, and understand user workflows and requirements to optimize the end-user experience. Requirements: Five years of experience with multi-site infrastructure deployments, including use of VMware technologies, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure technologies, Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp, PowerShell and PowerCLI, and ESXi Hosts (Rack Mount and Blade Servers).
