Overview
Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of information technology (IT) systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and related processes. Responsibilities
Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems. Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems. Assist users in accessing and using IT systems; support dispatch system and hardware problem resolution. Configure and manage UNIX, Linux and Windows operating systems; install/load operating system software; troubleshoot and maintain system integrity; implement OS enhancements for reliability and performance. Perform account management (establishing, activating, modifying, disabling, and removing accounts). Provide configuration management and sustainment of compliance with applicable system security controls; perform periodic vulnerability scans. Support day-to-day IT operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Implement security patches (e.g., IAVA) and record patch status in appropriate systems. Provide status updates to agency management and internal customers; coordinate and communicate during escalation. Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity planning and analysis. Provide in-depth troubleshooting of IT systems and detailed analysis to agency management for escalated tickets. Coordinate with the ISSO/ISO regarding system changes as part of Change and Configuration Management. Ensure IT assets remain compliant with Identity & Access Control Management (ICAM) policy. Support the design of systems and mission architecture; understand system administration interdependencies as part of SOA. Analyze and resolve complex problems related to server hardware, applications and software integration. Support mission islands, Trusted Thin Client, and enhanced VDI concepts where applicable. Qualifications
Top Secret/SCI w/ Polygraph Clearance Required. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required; four years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. Fifteen (15) years' experience as a System Administrator in programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification, and Computing Environment (CE) Certification (CE can be fulfilled with Microsoft OS, Cent OS/Red Hat OS CE certifications). Six (6) years of experience with Service Management (ITSM) is required; ITIL 4 certification is required. Directory Services TTOs: experience with Active Directory, Identity Management, SCCM, DNS, Group Policy, Active Role Servers, PAM, and MS Exchange. Desktop & Enclave Services TTOs: understanding of mission islands, Trusted Thin Client, and enhanced VDI concepts. Employment type
