Description
Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of information technology (IT) systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and related processes. Offers support for day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices. Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk), Tier 2, and Tier 3 (Escalation) problem diagnosis and resolution. Communicates status updates to agency management and internal customers. Supports dispatch systems and hardware issues, remaining involved in resolution. Configures and manages UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems, including installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and network configuration. Implements OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems
Managing daily configuration and operation activities
Providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for problem identification and resolution
Assisting users with accessing and utilizing IT systems
Account management: establishing, modifying, disabling, and removing accounts
Configuration management and ensuring compliance with security controls
Performing vulnerability scans and applying security patches
Monitoring and resolving issues for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices
Supporting system capacity planning and resource optimization
Communicating with security officers regarding system changes and compliance
Providing detailed analysis and feedback for escalated tickets
Configuring and managing UNIX, Linux, and Windows OS, including software installation and network configuration
Supporting change and configuration management processes with ISSO and ISO
Ensuring IT assets comply with ICAM policies
Applying knowledge of mission islands, Trusted Thin Client, and VDI technologies
Requirements
Top Secret/SCI w/ Polygraph Clearance required
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
Minimum 10 years of experience as a System Administrator in similar programs
DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level II and CE certifications
At least 4 years of experience with Service Management (ITSM)
Understanding of mission islands, Trusted Thin Client, and VDI concepts if assigned to specific services
