Job Overview RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Quality Manager for the Quality Resource Services department at Community Medical Center.

Community Medical Center is a 592-bed, fully accredited acute care hospital offering area residents world-class medical treatment with the comforts of hometown care. Opened in 1961, CMC has evolved into the state's newest teaching hospital with four residency programs and Ocean County's largest and most active health care facility—caring for over 21,500 inpatients, 178,000 outpatients and 73,700 emergency department patients each year.

Qualifications Required:

Bachelors degree required

5 years experience in the acute care setting with responsibility for quality safety and/or standards management functions

Strong abilities in data mining data analysis and presentation

MS Office knowledge required particularly Excel proficiency

Certifications and Licenses Required:

CPHQ CPPS or other process improvement certification

Preferred:

Valid RN licensure

Working knowledge of Epic and Epic reporting

Scheduling Requirements

Day shift, 40 Hours Per Week

Essential Functions

The Quality Manager reports to the Director of Quality Resource Services and is jointly responsible for oversight, implementation and coordination of the Quality Management program at CMC ensuring appropriate provision of data and quality analytics to operational and medical staff departments for quality management and performance improvement at CMC, and ensuring compliance with all quality and data requirements related to pay for performance

The Quality Manager ensures that the appropriate data is collected in order to evaluate the organization's performance in quality improvement

The Quality Manager analyzes, develops and implements improvement activities to increase compliance rates as measured by nationally standardized benchmarks and definitions

The Quality Manager ensures appropriate, accurate and timely data and benchmarks is provided to all key hospital departments and monitors action plans and progress towards goals when Quality Assurance data indicates a need

The Quality Manager assumes responsibility for the PI Council and all activities performed within the auspices of the PI Council

The Quality Manager ensures the integration of all Quality Department information and activities both within the organization and throughout the RWJBH system

The Quality Manager works with team to develop internal benchmarks when comparison data is unavailable

The Quality Manager is responsible for reporting data to external organizations and regulatory bodies

Other duties as assigned
