Position Overview Nightwing is seeking a part-time
Information Review and Release Analyst , with a flexible work schedule, located in the Tyson’s Corner, VA area. This role supports a dynamic, fast-paced business office on the KODIAK Program. The individual will oversee the declassification process of documents related to litigation cases, such as civil or criminal cases. Attention to detail is essential to accurately record the chronological order of events and handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
Responsibilities
Organize documents for legal review, ensuring accurate and proper recording.
Act as a liaison for Other Government Agency (OGA) involved in the process.
Conduct desktop research to analyze the relevance of searches and previous declassification or release decisions.
Provide rationale for redaction actions using codes from declassification guidance.
Recommend document releases for Sponsor approval and record decisions in automated systems.
Identify records containing OGA equities requiring external referral or non-routine handling.
Manage referral processes and organize documents for declassification review.
Research previous decisions to ensure consistency and accuracy, providing feedback to the Sponsor.
Mandatory Skills and Qualifications
Knowledge of FOIA, Privacy Act, EOMDR programs, and EO 13526; strong analytical skills within the intelligence community.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in team environments.
Knowledge of legal terminology related to enforcement, security, or court systems.
Strong work ethic, organizational, and time management skills.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, and other relevant tools.
Ability to multitask, adapt, and remain flexible.
Clearance and Experience Requirements Must have an active TS/SCI clearance with Poly and be crossover eligible.
Education/Experience: A bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of relevant experience, or a minimum of 6 years of specific skill-related experience.
