You will serve as Radio Frequency Engineer supporting the Intelligence Engineering Branch (DNA-42) at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division Damn Neck Activity (NSWCDD DNA). You will provide electronics engineering and radio frequency engineering support to the intelligence program. You will perform advanced systems engineering activities on signals intelligence (SIGINT) and electronic warfare (EW) programs involving fully integrated tactical systems for military intelligence programs. You will provide advanced technical support for the design and development of computer based and embedded systems, such as firmware development, embedded system design, application software development, circuit board design, and cyber engineering. You will provide technical leadership for systems development and engineering activities and support continuous improvement of the organization's system development processes. You will work closely with contractors on technical issues, to include defining technical requirements, monitoring technical performance, and ensuring the delivery of critical capabilities to keep programs on schedule. This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
