Ardagh Metal Packaging Purpose Of The Job Safely make adjustments to and operate can decorating/coating machinery and related equipment; assist in repairing and maintaining equipment, as directed. Key Accountabilities
Adjusts and operates all machinery relating to the decorating and coating of can bodies. Examines cans which have been washed, decorated, and coated to determine conformance to specifications; make adjustments to equipment to restore operations to requirements; assists maintainer with correction of problems. Inspects equipment to prevent breakdowns, lubricates and makes adjustments for wear. Reads and follows procedural manuals, manufacturers' equipment guide, operating records, production logs, and maintenance requirements. Service equipment by adding oil or lubricants and inks and lacquers to reservoirs; mounts and installs new plates and blankets; clears jams in machines and transfer equipment. Observes safety regulations and practices to afford protection to both self and others; sees that equipment and floors are maintained in a neat and clean manner at all times, cares for and protects assigned tools and instruments. Refers unusual or critical needs to supervisor. Performs other duties, as assigned. Knowledge/Skills/Experience
Familiar with personal protective equipment. Mechanically inclined; familiar with hand tools. Familiar with proper handling of chemicals/solvents. Familiar with material safety data sheets. 1 year of inside spray preferred Experience in manufacturing preferred Decorator/Printer Operator Experience preferred. Ability to navigate computer-based programs. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required Physical Demands
Able to stand for a long duration of time in excess of 8 hours a day. Able to bend over and rotate body repeatedly. Able to lift 40 pounds overhead. Able to withstand heat, cold, vibrations, odors/fumes and loud noise. Able to climb stairs frequently. Ardagh Metal Packaging
