Overview
Versant is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Executive Compensation Analyst to support the design, administration, and governance of executive compensation programs. This role will contribute to the development of compensation strategies for senior leaders, ensuring alignment with business objectives, market competitiveness, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, experience with executive pay programs, and a passion for data-driven decision-making. Responsibilities
Executive Compensation Support
Assist in the administration of executive compensation programs, including base salary, annual incentives, and long-term equity awards. Support the preparation of materials for Compensation Committee meetings and executive leadership reviews.
Data Analysis & Modeling
Conduct compensation benchmarking and market analysis for executive roles using survey data and peer comparisons. Build and maintain financial models to assess pay-for-performance alignment, scenario planning, and equity valuation.
Governance & Compliance
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including SEC disclosures, proxy reporting, and internal governance policies. Support the development of compensation-related disclosures and documentation for public filings.
Program Management
Assist in the execution of annual compensation cycles for executives, including merit increases, bonus calculations, and equity grants. Partner with Legal, Finance, and HR teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of executive pay actions.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Finance, and Legal to provide compensation guidance and support for executive-level decisions. Respond to inquiries and provide analytical support for executive compensation matters.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Human Resources, or related field; advanced degree or CCP certification a plus. 3–5 years of experience in compensation, finance, or HR analytics, with exposure to executive compensation preferred. Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with HRIS systems and compensation tools (e.g., MarketPay, Equity Edge) is a plus. Familiarity with SEC regulations, proxy disclosures, and executive pay governance. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. Additional Information
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Salary range: $85,000 - $100,000 Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
