Prepare, analyze, review, and distribute participation profit share and distribution statements according to contractual agreements Compile, analyze and review transactional data to support statement reporting Interpret and summarize artist and label contracts, create related statements and financial schedules, and provide data for deal models and analysis Apply financial accounting skills: review profitability analysis, identify variances and trends, build commentary for financial statements, perform reconciliations, update cash forecasts and budgets, investigate audit issues and claims, and participate in the close process (accruals, true-ups, transfers, reclassifications, recoupments, P&L and merch liabilities, and journal entries) Follow department financial controls and policies, communicate deficiencies to management Maintain vendor master data, input, code, and coordinate payments Build and maintain strong working relationships across the company, respond to requests from internal and external partners Communicate status and raise issues to your manager, lead work by department deadlines and service levels Learn WMG operational and accounting systems and develop expertise in participations accounting and operations Contribute ideas to process transformation, innovation, and improvement of team operations Support peers, help supervise the team, and demonstrate standard methodologies Represent and contribute to the culture of the Participations group About you

BA/BS degree required, preferably in accounting or finance related fields 3-5 years of experience in a related capacity Financial statement preparation background Sophisticated proficiency with MS Excel, working with large data sets and complex calculations Strong problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail Effective communication skills, able to work cross-functionally with internal and external partners Ability to lead multiple priorities, complete tasks with accuracy and deliver under pressure Ability to understand sophisticated information quickly and communicate it clearly Nice to have

Highly efficient, resilient, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Developing expertise in business terms, including legal agreements and contractual interpretations, to analyze trends and explain data Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to transform processes Entertainment, Media, or Music Industry experience in Participations/Royalties or similar roles Experience working remotely in a Shared Services environment Technical experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Analysis for Office, BI, and SharePoint How to apply
