The Accounting Specialist plays a key role in supporting the Accounting Department with day-to-day financial operations. Responsibilities include managing accounts payable and receivable processes, performing reconciliations, and preparing journal entries. This position requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities
Manage the full accounts payable process from invoice receipt through payment Review, code, and enter vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner Obtain proper approvals and resolve any discrepancies or issues with vendors or internal teams Prepare and process weekly check runs and ACH payments Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies Respond to vendor inquiries and manage communications regarding payment status Perform accounts receivable functions, including: process and prepare remote check deposits; book deposits in NetSuite; maintain a payment tracking spreadsheet in Excel Coordinate with the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team for payment application Prepare and post journal entries as needed Reconcile accounts and assist with month-end closing activities Assist with other accounting tasks and cross-functional support as assigned Education & Experience
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred Minimum of 1-3 years of professional accounting experience Proficiency with accounting software (NetSuite preferred) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word Benefits & Perks
