Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System has 167 licensed beds and 23 emergency suites. The hospital offers outstanding ancillary services including Laboratory, Radiology, and Therapy services. At our Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, women can have their annual mammograms, biopsies, and meet with a nurse navigator if needed. The Women’s Center offers six newly remodeled labor and delivery suites and has a secure nursery for the care of our newborns. Applies ALARA principles to maintain radiation safety standards, minimizing exposure through protective devices, shields, dose reduction, and monitors; determines appropriate exposure factors. Collaborates with patient's clinical history, ensuring documentation and availability for licensed practitioners. Relays and documents orders in the medical record, adhering to HIPAA guidelines. Performs diagnostic imaging procedures with technical expertise, assists with interventional procedures, and manages patient care during procedures. Practices aseptic techniques and infection control. Assumes responsibility for patient needs during procedures, ensuring safety and comfort. Proficient in clerical duties, radiology information systems, PACS, and equipment care. Maintains supplies and cleanliness. May assist in training and orientation of staff and students, and in reporting and inventory tasks. Ensures image quality and completeness, demonstrates competency in age-specific patient care, and stays current in BLS certification. Follows policies, participates in quality improvement, and performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Minimum Education:

None specified; must meet standards for licensing and certification requirements. Minimum Experience:

Completion of an accredited educational program, proficiency in fluoroscopy and specialized exams, including surgery, within 6 months. Licensure Requirement:

ARRT (R) certification and Tennessee state licensure.
