Note: This description reflects the responsibilities, qualifications, and conditions associated with the Systems Administrator role at Agile Defense. Responsibilities

Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of the organization's IT systems and applications. Assist in the installation, maintenance, and general support of IT systems; identify and resolve problems associated with operating systems. Analyze and resolve problems with server hardware/software and applications software. Detect, diagnose, and report related problems on server, desktop, and mobile IT systems. Assist users with questions or issues related to assessing and using IT systems. Install new software releases and system upgrades, evaluate and install patches, and resolve software related problems. Perform system backup and recovery procedures; maintain data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity. Perform system capacity analysis and planning, and optimize system operation and resource utilization. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure systems support the organization\'s business requirements and meet end-user needs. Define system requirements based on user/client needs, cost, scalability, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms. Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor\'s degree; or an Associate\'s degree with at least 2 years of experience; or at least 60 semester hours toward an Associate\'s or Bachelor\'s degree with at least 4 years of experience; or 6 years of experience. Certifications (beyond those required for the position) may substitute for experience or education, varies by certification. Required Certifications

Certification related to field. Required Skills & Additional Qualifications

Operating Systems: Proficiency in Windows, Linux, and Unix; capable of installing, configuring, and maintaining these systems with emphasis on security and updates. Network Administration: Understanding of network protocols, IP addressing, and configuration of routers, switches, firewalls. Virtualization: Experience with VMware or Hyper-V for managing virtual environments. Backup and Disaster Recovery: Knowledge of backup solutions and DR strategies. Security: Strong cybersecurity principles and practices. Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Communication: Strong communication skills for end-user support and collaboration. Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies. Continuous Learning. Working Conditions

Contractor site with 0%-10% travel; possible off-hours work to support testing and training. Office environment with frequent field duty; may involve standing, walking, and exposure to typical office conditions. Occasional hazardous or unpleasant conditions from noise, dust, etc. Physical demands: sedentary with occasional lifting up to 10 lbs; ability to stand/walk as needed; typical computer-based tasks.
