INFORMATION SYSTEMS SPECIALIST I

Supports department information systems requirements and objectives. Consults with system users and makes software and/or hardware recommendations. Installs and/or develops customized software as required. Provides training and documentation of software. Troubleshoots, maintains and repairs as necessary any department hardware and peripherals. May maintain department file server, i.e. back-ups, additions and deletion of users, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Tier 1 Support Configure PC/Mac
Provide remote and on-site support
Troubleshoot hardware and software Assist with computer image creation
Configure and troubleshoot printer, copier, etc.
Maintain and support conference room equipment Proficient in Windows OS, Mac OS, smartphone, tablets
Comfortable in a heterogeneous networks environment
Consult with vendors on troubleshooting and solution
This is not a remote position. You will be required to work on-site in this role in Birmingham, AL.
Salary Range: $18.85 - $30.65
Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
