Townley Engineering & Manufacturing Co. Rubber Finishing Dept. Technician Finishing Area Technicians are responsible for completing the final stages of rubber product manufacturing. This includes inspecting, trimming, cleaning, and performing minor repairs to ensure products meet quality standards. They prepare parts for shipment and complete any required finishing touches. Technicians must have a strong eye and feel for detail to detect imperfections and ensure a high-quality product leaves the facility. Job Responsibilities

Performing final inspections to verify product quality and specifications Completing finishing work such as trimming, grinding, smoothing, and cleaning Operating and maintaining equipment such as cranes, trimming and grinding tools Conducting minor repairs on products when needed Keeping detailed records of finished products and repairs Participates in ongoing on-the-job training to adhere to company policies Adding finishing touches to the appearance of components Collaborating with team members and other departments to meet shipping deadlines Complying with internal policies and industry regulations Following instructions and/or direction given by supervisors to complete assigned work projects Ensuring work area is clean and safe Requirements

Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect imperfections by sight and touch Sense of aesthetics to ensure products are finished to a professional standard. Ability to read and follow build sheets, drawings, and production specifications Ability to proactively troubleshoot problems Experience in manufacturing, finishing, or quality control preferred Comfortable working with adhesives and solvents Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment Work as a team within department and with other departments and Leads Willingness to cross-train on multiple product types within the department Ability to work scheduled hours and comply with the company policies Required Physical Demands

Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Physical capability to properly handle tooling and safely set up large pieces, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products. Must be able to stand, sit and bend for long periods of time. Work Environment

Manufacturing environment: loud noise levels, high temperatures and dust. Required PPE: steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, dust masks, and/or respirators.
