SUMMARY Work as part of a team of Process and Structural engineers to develop industrial plant layouts. Responsible for developing REVIT models of greenfield and existing processing plants for project development. Ensure the accuracy and thoroughness of the final construction documents and BIM model. Conduct evaluations of building leaks, structural issues, and perform thermal, air, and water leak testing on existing buildings. Design building envelope systems for new constructions and repairs. Develop scope of work and details for structural and architectural components of complex structures; prepare construction documents; evaluate existing buildings for conformance to codes and industry standards. Provide CSA design, develop BIM/Revit models, and ensure document accuracy. Collaborate with process engineering teams to ensure integrated project development. Provide evaluations of existing buildings, develop reports, and design architectural components including thermal and moisture barriers, doors, hardware, and framing details. Review and approve construction shop drawings and product submittals; perform site visits and report on construction progress and deficiencies. REQUIREMENTS: Education: Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture Experience: Minimum 5 years in building enclosure design, review, and assessments; experience in restoration, managing water and air infiltration, and thermal transmission. Expertise in building enclosure systems (roofing, wall claddings, waterproofing, hygrothermal modeling, diagnostic testing). Basic structural knowledge required. Computer Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit; familiarity with Microsoft Office suite. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication. Special Skills: Knowledge of low-temperature industrial building design, materials like insulated metal panels, and detailing of various building materials. Understanding of building codes and safety standards. Certifications: Relevant certifications preferred or obtainable (e.g., RCI Roofing/Building Envelope, Infrared Thermography). Travel: Extensive travel, including at least 12 domestic trips annually. Work involves occasional site visits requiring climbing and safety precautions; must tolerate environmental extremes and hazards, and wear PPE as required.
