This position provides direction to plan sponsors to design and maintain a qualified plan to meet client needs. It also serves as a technical resource for research and plan analysis projects for both internal and external clients. Responsibilities
Perform retirement plan administration and consulting for a block of 50‑70 plans depending on complexity. Administer defined contribution retirement plans A‑Z. Review, process, and approve participant distribution and loan requests. Reconcile trust assets and contributions. Assist clients and participants with navigation of plan sponsor and participant secure recordkeeping portals. Perform non‑discrimination and compliance testing. Calculate and allocate employer contributions and consult on timely deposit/remittance of deferrals. Complete, review, provide audit support for and file appropriate government forms 5500, 5330, 8955‑SSA, 1099‑R, and related schedules. Develop effective working relationships with clients, internal and external advisors, recordkeepers, and auditors. Ensure clients adhere to government filing and regulatory requirements. Assist with drafting prototype plan documents and amendments that meet sponsor, advisor, and recordkeeping partner requirements. Review, analyze, and summarize data in clear written communication using Microsoft Office tools. Maintain and expand ERISA compliance and software knowledge. Comply with continuing education requirements; participate in professional organizations, independent study, etc. Integrate new knowledge and skills into daily work and share with colleagues as appropriate. Recognize opportunities for new business development. Work independently and in a team environment with a positive attitude, proactive mindset, and entrepreneurial spirit. Other duties as needed to support clients, team members, internal partners, and external vendors, advisors, and auditors. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, business analytics, mathematical economics, finance, or related fields. Experience in lieu of degree will be considered. 5 to 10 years of directly related work experience in retirement plan administration and consulting. Professional Credentialing
American Society of Pension Professionals (ASPPA) Qualified 401k Administrator (QKA), Qualified Plan Specialist (QKS), Qualified 401k Consultant (QKC), and/or Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA). National Institute of Pension Administrators (NIPA) Accredited 401(k) Specialist (AKS), Accredited Pension Administrator (APA), and/or Accredited Pension Representative (APR). Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA). National Association of Pension Advisors (NAPA) Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) and/or Qualified Plan Financial Consultant (QPFC). FT William Administration and PensionPro software experience preferred. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams would be extremely beneficial. Base salary ranges from $64,000 to $86,000 based on experience, certifications, and location. The base salary offered will be determined case‑by‑case.
