Auto Sr Litigation Adjuster

The Hanover Insurance Group This is a full time, exempt role, 2 days in office. Responsible for the resolution of litigated cases, involving disputes over coverage, liability, and damages issues. The professional will gather the facts and analyze statements and declarations of damages to develop claims resolution strategies, in partnership with defense counsel and field adjusters to bring about a timely cost effective conclusion. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL
Have or secure and maintain appropriate state adjuster licenses and continuing education credits. Responsible for the settlement of litigated cases involving disputes over coverage, liability, and damages issues. Work in partnership with defense counsel and field adjusters to bring about a timely cost-effective conclusion. Handle claims transferred from existing losses or first notice of loss lawsuits, requiring higher levels of investigation, analysis, evaluation, and negotiation. Maintain foresight into claims depth to accurately adjust reserves based on new information over the exposure cycle. Develop timely cost-effective discovery, trial, and settlement resolution strategies with defense counsel to minimize costs of protracted litigation. Represent the company at trial, mediation, and arbitration. Act as a technical resource for inside and field adjusters. WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY
Typically 5+ years of professional experience; prior Bodily Injury litigated claims handling experience Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience Dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service to internal and external customers Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to negotiate skillfully in difficult situations with both internal and external groups Strong written and verbal communication skills; promotes and facilitates open communication Understanding of applicable statutes, regulations, and case law Critical thinking with the ability to anticipate and develop timely solutions Easily adapts to changing situations, requirements, or priorities This job posting provides cursory examples of some of the job duties associated with this position.
