Position: Sustainability & Forestry Safety Coordinator. Location: Anderson, California (consideration may be given to another Company location). The successful candidate will work with staff company-wide to manage sustainability certifications and coordinate an effective Forestry Department Safety Program. About the Position Manage certification programs and ensure compliance with Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Forest Management, Fiber Sourcing and Chain of Custody, and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain of Custody standards for Sierra Pacific Industries and SPI Windows Division. Manage and coordinate a safety program for the Forestry team. Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability and safety initiatives, programs, and projects. Collaborate with various departments to integrate best sustainability and safety practices. Conduct sustainability and safety assessments and audits to promote environmental awareness and education within the organization. Organize and coordinate related projects, events, and activities. Stay updated on latest sustainability and safety trends and best practices and provide engaging training both within and outside the Company. Advocate for sustainability while developing solid partnerships within the Company and the community. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Forestry or related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sustainability-related role. Understanding of environmental issues, sustainable practices and safety programs with the ability to work collaboratively with various partners to achieve outcomes. Excellent project management and data analysis skills with strong problem-solving ability. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to promote sustainability and safety initiatives. Proficiency in written communication and attention to detail.
