Seeking a skilled and experienced

NETA Field Technician . This role involves performing testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-voltage substation equipment to ensure the safety and reliability of electrical power systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical testing and maintenance, as well as extensive knowledge of industry standards, including NETA, IEEE, and NFPA. Successful candidates will be placed in Technician I – Senior Technician titles commiserate with their certification and experience. Duties and Responsibilities

Perform electrical testing services on power apparatus, substations, and switchgear included (but not limited to) the following:

Protective relaying and relaying systems Circuit Breakers Power Transformers Current and Potential Transformers Meters, Transducers, and Power system metering Power Cables Grounding Systems Motors and Motor Starters Station Batteries and Chargers Alarm systems and Annunciators Personal Protective Equipment

Perform troubleshooting and problem identification and analysis. Make recommendations regarding corrective action and/or repairs Generate technical reports detailing services provided, problems found, and corrective action taken or recommended Represent the company in a professional manner regarding communicating and interfacing with clients Communicate effectively with the company management team on a regular basis regarding project status and the scheduling of manpower and equipment Qualifications

Power DB knowledge a plus Broad knowledge of electrical AC/DC fundamentals (Electrical) Broad knowledge of the major components of a substation Broad knowledge of control and protection systems (Electrical) Knowledge of high-voltage electric field theory (Electrical) Broad knowledge of electrical code and standards (NEC, NESC, and applicable IEEE and ANSI) (Electrical) Broad knowledge of civil / structural codes and standards (NESC, and applicable IEEE, ANSI, AISC and ACI) (Civil / Structural) Broad knowledge of the function of major electrical equipment Broad knowledge of ground grid theory and design (Electrical) Knowledge of the types of drawings required to construct an electrical substation Knowledge of drafting standards
