The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering the Western Australian Curriculum, with a focus on English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS), Health, and Design Technologies. Plan, prepare, and implement engaging lessons, assess and monitor student progress, and foster a positive classroom environment that supports the diverse needs of students. Selection Criteria / Qualifications
The successful applicant will hold a valid teaching qualification and registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia, demonstrating a strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum in the Junior Primary years. Experience in planning and delivering high-quality Junior Primary programs, with a focus on English, Mathematics, Science, HASS, and the Arts. Excellent classroom management skills, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment that meets the needs of students of differing ability levels. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, effectively collaborating with colleagues, parents, and the broader school community. Demonstrated commitment to the values and ethos of an independent/private school, with the ability to inspire and engage students. A personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ. Active participation in a church or Christian community, exemplifying Christian beliefs, behaviour, and practices. Acceptance of the College’s Statement of Faith. Ability to build cooperative and supportive relationships with the Board, Principal, staff, students, and parents. Commitment to personal best practice. Ensure decisions are impartial, fact-based, and fair. Model appropriate and proper channels of communication. Act in the best interests of the College and its ethos. Adherence to all policies and procedures outlined by SCBC. Commitment to maintaining a child-safe environment in line with the College’s values and policies.
