Position Summary Join the beauty retail division of CVS Health as a Beauty Sales Consultant. This role supports the retail beauty experience by sharing the latest beauty trends and techniques, leveraging extensive industry knowledge to help customers build a personalized shopping basket. As the primary beauty advisor in the store’s beauty zone, you will provide friendly, knowledgeable sales service to every client and strive to deliver a top-notch client experience. Responsibilities
Customer Sales Experience
– Seek out customers to ensure a fantastic beauty advisor experience through personalized service, upselling and suggestive selling, with follow-up to build lasting relationships. Engage in conversations with customers entering the beauty zone, listening to needs and providing specialized sales advice. Utilize verbal skills to confidently generate sales and be the brand expert by answering questions with product knowledge to maximize the sales basket. Operational
– Explain how products address customer needs, educate on proper usage and benefits, and leverage the CVS Beauty monthly sampling program to build relationships. Participate in and represent company sales programs or events, discuss CVS Beauty Club programs, and invite customers to in-store events or explain current promotions to close sales. Create and maintain product displays, end caps, and other beauty-specific promotional materials supporting key brands, corporate initiatives, and local advertising. Maintain a clean, well-stocked, well-merchandised beauty zone compliant with hygiene standards for a positive shopping experience. Ensure tester sanitation, hazardous waste disposal, and tool cleansing policies are followed promptly and compliantly. Training & Personal Growth and Development
– Complete onboarding (30/60/90 days) and ongoing training to ensure sales, product knowledge, and selling skills are current; adhere to company policies and guidelines. Execute the established sales plan by meeting the sales budget and tracking progress. Attend sales training meetings and conference calls on programs, promotions, new items, brand launches, goals, and customer care. Strive to beat prior sales goals and maximize the sales budget; maintain a professional appearance per guidelines. Required Qualifications Sales oriented Ability to use sales data with product/brand knowledge to meet sales and beauty service goals Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Goal-driven with ability to multi-task Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities, and learn procedures quickly Flexible retail schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, extended hours, and peak periods Ability to perform tasks listed in the job description Must demonstrate ability and willingness to perform ear-piercing services (training and certification provided) In some CVS stores, bilingual beauty advisors who can speak English and Spanish may be required Must be at least 18 years old Preferred Qualifications Prior beauty sales experience Current knowledge of beauty products and brands Strong passion for beauty High school diploma or equivalent preferred Education High School diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
