Waste Connections is hiring a Laborer at our LRI 304th Street Landfill in Graham, Washington . This is not your average labor job — it’s a hands-on, high-energy role that requires strength, endurance, and a strong work ethic. If you thrive in outdoor environments, enjoy hard physical work, and want to be part of a safety-first team , we want to hear from you. Job Type: Full-time, year-round Pay: $21.00 – $23.00/hour (based on experience) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM + occasional Saturdays This Job Is For You If You Can: Lift and carry 50–60 lbs repeatedly throughout the day Shovel, dig, and haul materials in all weather conditions Climb up and down steep landfill slopes with heavy tools and sandbags Work in extreme heat or cold without slowing down Stay on your feet for 8–10 hours a day Handle dirty, dusty, and odorous environments with a positive attitude Key Responsibilities Perform physically demanding labor tasks across the landfill and transfer station Operate hand tools and light equipment (shovels, post hammers, picks, etc.) Direct traffic safely and assist customers on-site Support environmental systems for stormwater, landfill gas, and leachate control Maintain site cleanliness and safety standards What You’ll Need 1+ year of experience in outdoor, physically demanding work Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Strong self-motivation and a commitment to safety This is a safety-sensitive position and requires the ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
